As the main Wedding Video season slows down it's an ideal time for us to work on other projects. Today I've been working on a music video project as part of my Media Production course. Myself and tow others have been tasked with creating a music video, we are trying to create something really emotional, a real tear jerker!
We are re-creating the Eric Clapton classic 'Tears in Heaven' , the narrative will see a young father trying to cope with the loss of a child and remembering the good times they both enjoyed.
Shooting is taking place over Two days. Day one (today) was all indoor, we had to dress a set to look firstly like a girls bedroom, then later the room had to be transformed into a Christmas scene. This was very strange at the start of November, we looked like nutters putting up a Christmas tree! The whole set-up up and take down took around 5 hours including filming and we will use about a minute and a half of the final footage in our finished music video. You can see some pictures below in a slide show which show you how the room changed throughout the day.
Tomorrows shoot will be onlocation with a large jib arm crane, a larger version of the one we use on our wedding video shoots. We will be filming in Tredegar House, Cwmbran boating lake & the Sirhowy valley park which is near Crosskeys and Risca (great for mountain biking too!)
I will post some more pictures tomorrow of the shoot outdoors and keep an eye out on our blog to see the finished music video in a few weeks time! Also if you have any questions then leave a comment. I will gladly help if I can.
