I am the owner of gemini wedding films and I have been filming weddings for over 10 years. I am very passionate about film, photography, music, outdoors, mountain biking and I love my family life. As a family we love to visit the Gower ( Three Cliffs Bay ) for some camping, Bodyboarding and long walks.
I was a drummer and I played in a indie rock band which had a bit of success in the 90s so I have a good musical background which helps when it comes to editing your wedding video to music. I was also one of the first to have a helmet camera business on one of Wales mountain biking centers filming extreme mountain biking. But it was when I got married and started a family, I wished I could look back on my wedding day. After my first child I could not put down my video camera, which made me release the importance of our lives and memories. Because of my camera and editing skills, friends and family were asking me to video their wedding day, I enjoyed filming their weddings so much I decided this is what I wanted to do. It has been a pleasure and privilege to attend weddings, and I love what I do with a passion. I am interested in new forms of film technology and every year I attend BVE ( British Video Exhibition) in London.
My passion for documentary film making started 12 years ago whilst filming and editing holidays and days out with friends, I discovered I had a talent for editing films into an emotional experience and I thrived off the reactions of people who viewed them, I still get many positive comments years later when people re-watch the videos which remind them of a special time in their lives, this is the reason why I love creating wedding films; unlike a photograph a wedding film carries the emotion experienced on that day forever and can be shared for years to come.
Editing is a particular passion of mine and to keep up with the latest technology and industry standards I completed a 2 year creative media production course in 2013 obtaining Distinction*** And went on to study film and creative media at The University of the West of England in Bristol which I've just completed and have received a 1st class honors degree.
I’m a strong believer in great customer service, I believe that a happy client will be a client that recommends us to future couples and so will go out of my way to offer the best service possible to all our lucky couples.
Sometimes we get asked what type of cameras and equipment do we use, are they big or small, we use some of the latest High Definition Cameras including interchangeable lenses to get fantastic professional cinamatic style shots. Modern cameras are a lot smaller so are less intrusive while still capturing fantastic quality video.
We have 6 cameras two Sony A7mk3,Sony A7smk2, Sony A6300 & Panasonic which are all able to film 4k & full HD 1920 x 1080p recordings.
When your wedding day has finished all the footage is transferred on to two external hard drives, so you have extra piece of mind knowing that we have double your wedding day footage backed up.
We use additional equipment to enable us to create stunning camera moves including a 3 axis camera stabilizer, glide tracks, these pieces are smaller versions of equipment used on real film sets and give an extra dimension to your video.
To edit your film we use the latest professional editing systems from Adobe and Avid, these are the systems used in well known studios to cut together films and TV shows and offer us the flexibility to edit your big day creatively and to a very high standard.
Please take a look at our show reel where you can experience how this equipment is used with outstanding results to capture lasting memories.
